Florence & Rome

In December 2009 I was honored to participate in the Florence Biennale, a wonderful exhibition of 700 artists from around the world. I met many other fine artists, a number of whom I hope will be long-time friends, had some of the best conversations of my life about art, life and beauty, and received a very warm response to my work from a wider audience than I had ever imagined. I am proud to have been awarded fifth in photogaphy.

In addition to the experience of ther Biennale, however, this was my first visit to Italy, and has been written by many travelers since the Middle Ages, Italy changes you. We were there for ten days, including one beautiful Wednesday spent in Rome. The architecture, the history, the glorious light and the many warm people all combined to make it an unforgettable experience.

I returned home with over 1600 new images, of which the following are a sampling.
